Tips for Vision & Goal Setting
How do you feel about setting a vision for the year? Even beyond a year? How about setting goals in order to see that vision fulfilled?
While many might give vision and goal setting a try when at the kick off of the new year, most end up throwing in the towel by the third Friday in January, infamously known as Quitter's Day!
The main problem with New Year's resolutions resulting in quitting is that the vision is too abstract and the goals are not SMART, meaning specific, measurable, actionable, relevant, and time-bound.
The other problem is that many people are unaware of the time-frame orientation -- meaning how far in the future that can "see" and therefore plan. This is a huge factor in setting a vision with goals that result in success!
In this short teaching, you'll hear a few examples as to how to approach leading a meaningful life with a realistic vision and practical goals. One of the best ways to embrace this endeavor is with the support of coaching or counseling, the Highlands Ability Battery, and the Personal Vision Course!
